Weekends Are For Food, Fun And Festivities
Hello everyone, I am so glad that it is Friday that I just can't hide it! I know some people say that adults can't celebrate the weekend but I disagree! The weekend brings about a different vibe of people and I love to see people have a bit more pep in their step towards the end of the week. So, since it is Friday I thought I'd give a little rundown of all of the fun things I was able to do last weekend! Relax and enjoy!!
Weekends Are For Food, Fun And Festivities
First things first; I was able to go to the little carnival that was happening locally last weekend. I love summer carnivals because they give you something else to do besides be on your phone all day. I love the easy conversations that people have and the noise of the kids running around and enjoying the weather. One thing I especially love is a good ole treat from the carnival as well. Some of my favorite things to try are fried Oreos, cotton candy, corndogs and of course funnel cake! I am very traditional when it comes to funnel cake in the sense that I don't like any weird sauces or fruit on top of mine. I love that good ole powdered sugar and it's the best way to have it!

While there we decided that we would take the plunge and ride the bumper cars. Now when I was a kid this was the most dreadful thing I could ever do! Bumper cars seemed to always be the most annoying activity ever but for some reason, I had more fun riding in the cars as an adult than when I did as a kid. This game was so fun because my sisters and I are all very competitive people! We were laughing so hard that the people who joined us decided to laugh and compete with us as well! When we were done with the rides we argued for a good 20 minutes about who really won the race. I still believe it was me even though I bumped into the railings about 200 times! Ha!

One thing I truly enjoyed about this weekend is being able to go to the park and get a bit of fresh air. I don't know about you but sometimes life feels better once you receive the right amount of sunlight for the day! My favorite thing about the park is being able to calmly swing on the swings in silence and just be alone with your thoughts. However, this day, in particular, resulted in hanging out with my sister and talking about various life changes. Most of our discussion went from college to marriage, to what we were going to have for dinner that night. I appreciate those moments of seriousness and lightheartedness in conversations during the summer.
And last but not least I was able to spend a bit of time with my baby sister. She's such a good little egg I appreciate just for everyday cuteness. Six is such a good age and I try to remind her every day that she's the most important thing in our lives. Growing up people ALWAYS said I was the favorite but I must say that everyone can agree that the baby is the favorite! Not only does she get away with everything but everyone waits on her hand and foot! Ha! But we don't mind it at all because babies are babies forever! That is why when we had our little walk I let her ask me all those burning questions that she has about life and the curiosity of all the animals that we came into contact with. Because at the end of the day it's about cherishing those important moments around me and loving this beautiful thing called life.....So, with that being said....what do you plan on cherishing this weekend?

Best,
Sha'Carey
