Knee Slappin Fun In The South With My Family

The one thing I love about having a close family is that you will always have someone to enjoy life with. If you're from the south then I know you know all about those southern values that we all hold close to our hearts. The values are simple; Keep God first, the family close and our bellies full of food that will make you sleep like a baby!

If you're from the south then I know you know all about those southern values that we all hold close to our hearts. The values are simple; Keep God first, the family close and our bellies full of food that will make you sleep like a baby! Of course, there's a little more to it but those are pretty much the basics to live by when you're from Louisiana!
Since I am no stranger to showing talking about how good food makes me feel, today I thought I'd share a little peep into a fun moment my family and I had recently. A weekend or two ago we decided to go on a little adventure around the local farms and get to see a few real-life animals. My baby sister LOVES animals and we just knew this would make her very happy!
Since I am no stranger to showing and talking about how good food makes me feel, today I thought I'd share a little peep into a fun moment my family and I had recently. A weekend or two ago we decided to go on a little adventure around the local farms and get to see a few real-life animals. My baby sister LOVES animals and we just knew this would make her very happy! As you can see she could barely control her excitement and wanted to know if she could ride every animal in sight! Ha!

This little cutie stole the show and was surely a family favorite amongst us all!

Here is a little snap of me and my favorite sister bonding! And yes, I still say she is the favorite even though she told me I was her "third favorite" sister! Ha!

Everyone in my family has their own dramatic side effect about themselves and this one sure does know how to find a moment to outshine everyone! Here she is trying her hardest to sing on the stage that was inside one of the farmhouses that we visited! I didn't have the heart to tell her that she sounded more like a baby goat than Beyonce' BUT I didn't want to lose my ranking as the "third favorite sister" so I cheered her on 😂

Since I'm trying to keep the focus on my "dramatic" family moments, here is a little picture of my sister trying out her none existant piano skills! She's a very science-y person at most but has an extreme love for all things art and music. Grant it, she has never played the piano before but I can honestly say it didn't sound too bad!
However, it wasn't too long before everyone wanted to explore the animals again so we decided to make our way outside to see the rest of the farm.

On our way to our last stop, we passed a woman who knew how to sew from an old-fashioned sewing machine. She showed every last one of us how to attach and spin yarn and I thought the entire process was pretty cool! It takes a lot of time and effort to make one clothing item and now I see why it would cost so much money to buy one article of clothing!

And of course, this little day trip wouldn't be nothing without a little fun picture with my sister! I was trying to take a picture of my outfit and my baby sister popped into the photo to sprinkle a little bit of toddler fun into the mix! I'm so glad my sister caught this moment on camera because these are the moments that really count the most!

At the end of the day, my family is what is most important to me! I know it's so easy to get caught up in materialistic things and the hustle and bustle of life but having good people around really keeps you grounded. I can honestly say that if it wasn't for God and my family I don't know what I would be doing with my life right now. I know that that is kind of a scary thing to admit but life is all about being honest with yourself so that you can finally move forward. It's always nice to have good people in your corner for when life starts to feel a bit messy. It's important to remember to focus on the little things and hold on to those little pockets of joy that life throws our way!
