Surprise Family Carnival Dates

Family Fair Dates
Hello and happy Monday everyone! I hope all is well and that you had a wonderful weekend like I did!!
If you're anything like me then I am pretty sure you had plans to relax and stay cool during the last little bit of the summer nights BUT sometimes things always pop up randomly. I know this weekend I wanted to relax, lay in bed and watch my favorite t.v. shows but my family definitely had other plans in mind! It wasn't long before I found myself out of bed, getting dressed and holding the worlds best funnel cake in the world in my hands. This is why I love family so much, not only do they hold you responsible but they also get you out of the house when a carnival randomly pops into town!

As soon as I arrived I was happy to see all the yummy food around me! I didn't really know where the start and so I spent the majority of my time debating on if I wanted the funnel cake or a corndog! Ultimately I ended up buying both and feeling full the rest of my time at the carnival!

It wasn't long before everyone wanted to ride the rides! Thankfully this little carnival offered rides for all heights and which meant we could all aboard the rides together. That's really important for us because our baby sister loves for us to ride with her and she always looks sad if we ride without her! I have been a big sister for a very long time and the one thing that I do know is that if everyone can't ride then I will hear levels of that's unfair all day long and there is no stopping it after that! Ha!

As you can see here, everyone was pretty excited to ride their first ride! As mentioned above I ate so much when I arrived that I had to pass on the first few rides because I did not want to feel sick! Anyways, no one was waiting on my stomach to settle down so they let the baby pick the first fun thing to do! Of course, this ride went so fast that Mori had to hold Moriah down so that she wouldn't fly out of her little seat belt! I thought that would scare her a bit but it actually made her want to ride it again and again! Naturally, we didn't let her ride this one a second time because it was too fast but I can honestly say that she felt pretty cool after finally being able to ride the big kid rides for the day!

Since the baby is well...the baby..... we let her pick the last ride for the evening! All of us bigger kids were pooped out so we let her pick out a station that she could ride on her own! At first, she was a little reluctant but after she saw the other kids climb on by themselves, I think it prompted her to feel a bit more open to the idea of riding solo! As soon as the ride began to move she looked at us and smiled and from that point on I knew she was going to be ok!

Even though today was a surprise, I can't say that it couldn't have come at a better time! Naturally, I was feeling overworked and pretty tired and wanted the weekend to myself but I am glad I left the house and grabbed a bit of fresh air with the family. The weather was perfect, the food was good, and of course it was just an all around awesome day! Anywho, that was how my weekend went and I wouldn't change it for the world! What did you guys get into this weekend?

Best,
Sha'Carey
