Finding My Boho Chic Bag From High School At The Thrift Market
I once had the cutest bag in the world and it looked exactly like the one I am holding in my very hands!
I mean it looks so identical that I swear this may be the very one that I donated years ago. Grant it, this has to be impossible because I did not attend high school here in Texas but that doesn't mean my little bag wouldn't have traveled this far? Could it? Maybe I am being a bit dramatic but you just never know what you can find when you visit your local thrift market. I have heard stories where it isn't uncommon for owners to find there way back to items that they have long since donated. Never in a million years would I think that it could happen to me but sometimes you just never know what could happen!

As I continued to shop around throughout the day, I just could not stop thinking about that bag! I instantly ran back upstairs to see if I could find it again and once I saw that it was right where I left it, I decided to put it into my basket for safe keeping. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it yet but I also knew I didn't want anyone else to have it either so I had to make sure it was nice and secure! Ha!

Anyways, it wasn't long before I was distracted by other things in the store as well! If you're an avid thrift shopper then you know that this can happen more often than not. The more that I continued to look around, the more I wanted to add everything to my little shopping bag! Not that I needed any of the items that I was in there for but that's the beauty of it all! The more unique pieces you see, the more likely you'll want to buy. Ha! #thriftinglife

Like for instance these little dolls....what did I need them for? Absolutely nothing that's for sure! But did I almost buy them...? Heck yeah, I almost did! As a matter of fact, the more that I look at them now the more I am glad that I didn't make such rash decisions. I swear the moment that I see something is only $2 I automatically think I need them when in reality I definitely do not!

Thankfully I was able to keep looking around the store until my eyes caught this cute pair of pants! If you have been reading this blog then you already know that I am a dancer and when I am not all dolled up I love to wear comfortable clothing to dance class or to run errands. These pair of cargo pants almost came home with me but they were one size too small and did not have enough length. I was so heartbroken because I had my heart set on these because they were so cute and cheap! I don't know if you guys know this but it is very hard to find affordable cargo pants to dance in because you don't want to necessarily slide on the floors inexpensive ones. Thankfully the nice lady at the register told me of a place around the corner that sold affordable cargo pants and you better believe I am headed straight there after I purchase my cute little bag.

And of course, I decided to "say yes to the bag" and make my first purchase of the day! For some reason, I just felt like I could not leave this bag behind. The funny thing about this is that personal style always comes back full circle because when I gave away my bag that was eerily similar, I had made up in my mind that I wouldn't want anything so hideous in my closet again. I never would have thought I would find myself wanting to purchase anything like it a few years later. I guess some things never really go out of style but you just have to fall in love with the items again at a later date! Or at least that's the conclusion I have come up with in order to buy this bag! Ha! For me, it was an easy choice to make because not only is it cute BUT it was only $6 so that in itself was a nice steal! I have already worn it several times but I know for sure that this bag will be a big part of my Fall/Winter wardrobe. In the end, I am very glad I listened to my first mind and brought this bag home with me! It is so hard to find one in this style towards the end of the summer and I feel like I scored big time with this purchase! Anyways, have you ever decided not to buy something that you loved and then instantly regretted it? Let me know in the comments below!

Best,
